Yes. Every MountainMate guide is licensed by the Nepal Tourism Board and registered with TAAN. We verify credentials annually.
Guides check oxygen saturation and symptoms daily above 3,000m. If symptoms progress, they\u2019ll descend with you immediately and coordinate evacuation if needed.
All lead guides are fluent in English. Many also speak Hindi and regional dialects such as Sherpa, Gurung, and Tamang.
We keep a maximum ratio of 1 guide to every 8 trekkers, with an assistant guide added for larger groups.
